AVRO 619 FIVE - A scaled-down derivative of Avro's licence-built Fokker F.VIIB/3m (the Avro 618 Ten), the Avro 619 Five was designed by Roy Chadwick in 1930, powered by three 105 hp Genet Majors. One example, G-ABBY, used by AST pre-war as navigation trainer at No 3 E & RFTS, Hamble, transferred for use by No 11 Air Observers seat Avro 626s used by the RNZAF as Navigation School until March 1941. |
