BOULTON PAUL OVERSTRAND

BOULTON PAUL P. 75 OVERSTRAND - A twin-engined biplane bomber designed by J D North to the requirements of Specification 23/34 (originally as Sidestrand Mk V), the Overstrand served with RAF bomber squadrons 1935-1937. Of 24 aircraft delivered (plus some Sidestrand conversions), a few continued in service as gun-nery trainers until 1940 at No 10 Bombing and Gunnery School at Dumfries, and two on special duties survived into 1941. The engines were 580 hp Pegasus II.M3.
