GENERAL AIRCRAFT OWLET

GENERAL AIRCRAFT G.A.L. 45 OWLET - The General Aircraft Owlet G.A.L. 45 was a two-seat open cockpit trainer developed from the Cygnet, powered by a 150 hp Cirrus Major 1 and first flown as G-AGBK on September 5, 1940. After impressment in July 1941 as DP240 the sin-gle prototype; was used by No 23 Squadron, No 51 OTU and No 605 Sqn to train pilots in tricycle undercarriage techniques, until written-off on August 30, 1942.
