GENERAL AIRCRAFT G.A.L. 42 CYGNET - The General Aircraft Cygnet was a side-by-side two-seat light plane developed (originally by C W Aircraft) in 1936 and redesigned by General Aircraft to feature a tricycle undercarriage and twin tail unit as the General Aircraft Cygnet II. With a 150 hp Cirrus Major II, production aircraft were delivered in 1939/41, five being impressed for RAF service that included training in tricycle undercarriage techniques and two others used in civil guise by the makers for communications.
