MILES MOHAWK - The Miles M.12 Mohawk was awo-seat tandem cabin monoplane built to the order of Charles Lindbergh and flown as G-AEKW on August 22, 1936. Impressed for RAF use as HM503 in November 1941, but -little used other than by Maintenance Command Comm Sqn, September 1943-January 1944, because of difficulties with 200 hp Menasco Buccaneer B6S engine. Second set of Miles M.12 wings used in M.7A hybrid (which see). Max speed, 185 mph (298 km/h).
