PARNALL 382 HECK III

PARNALL 382 HECK III - Ab initio trainer with tandem open cockpits, built as PV to conform to Specification T.l/37. Used components of Parnall Heck IIC including outer wing panels, tail unit, u/c and 200 hp DH Gipsy Six engine. Flown late in 1938, in B-class marking as Jl (G-AFKF not used), and serial R9138 applied later. Served with No 24 Sqn June-August 1941.

Cruising speed, 135 mph (217 km/h). Gross weight, 2,450 Ib (1,111 kg). Span, 33 ft 6 in (10.21 m). Length, 28ft 8 in (8. 73 m).
