SLINGSBY FALCON I

SLINGSBY FALCON I - Single-seat sailplane Slingsby T.1 Falcon I was designed in Germany as the Schleicher Falke. Nine built, to German designs, by Slingsby in Yorkshire from 1931 onwards, of which one impressed for ATC late-1942 and four more by early-1945. One converted to flying-boat glider in 1942 and tested on Lake Windermere to assess possibility of establishing ATC schools with waterborne gliders.
