SLINGSBY PRIMARY

SLINGSBY PRIMARY - Single-seat primary glider based on RRG Kassel Zogling and almost identical RFD Dagling (see page 52) which preceded production by Slingsby. Total of 67 Slingsby T.3 Primary built by Slingsby 1934-1939, some fitted with cockpit nacelle round pilot's seat. At least 33 impressed for ATC use during 1942, and a further six or so later. (Often noted, incorrectly, as Slingsby T.2 in official records.)

Gross weight, 380 Ib (172 kg). Span, 33 ft 11 in (10.35 m) with rounded tips or 33 ft 0 in (10.06 m) with square tips
