TAYLORCRAFT MODEL H

TAYLORCRAFT MODEL H - One Taylorcraft airframe (actually a US-built Model B, imported pre-war as G-AFKO) completed by Taylorcraft Aeroplanes (England) as a two/three-seat glider to investigate the practicability of using such an aircraft to train glider pilots. Forward fuselage lengthened to compensate for lack of engine. Testing began on July 6, 1943, but no official interest was shown and in 1944 the Taylorcraft Model H (which carried neither serial number nor civil registration) was transferred to an ATC Gliding School at Bretford, Leics.
