ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH ATLAS I - Two-seat army co-operation biplane pro-duced for RAF in late-1920s. RCAF acquired five Atlas I, one Atlas I dual (with 400 hp Jaguar IVB) and 10 ex-RAF Atlas IAC Jaguar VIB); a few served with 2 (AC) Squadron flying offshore patrols in late 1939 and with No 118 (Combat Alert Centre) Squadron in 1940. |
