ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH AW.23 - Single prototype (K3585) bomber/transport to C.26/31, first flown on June 4, 1935, became a tanker for Flight Refuelling Ltd in 1937. Registered G-AFRX in April 1939. stored at Ford Aerodrome, Sussex, before War started and destroyed there in enemy air raid on August 18, 1940. |
